History

March 1955Ohmoriya Co., Ltd. was established in Ono-cho, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City with a capital of 4.5 million yen for the purpose of manufacturing and selling processed nori. Yoshinori Kusunose was the company’s first president.
July 1955Completed construction of new factory and raw material warehouse in 16-cho, Fukushima-ku, Osaka.
September 1956Moved head office to 16-cho, Fukushima-ku, Osaka.
February 1962Received the Osaka Prefectural Governor’s Award for Product Excellence.
April 1964Appointed Yoshiko Kusunose as president.
March 1966Received the Fisheries Agency Commissioner’s Award for Product Excellence.
May 1966Completed construction of new head office in Noda, Fukushima-ku, Osaka.
October 1966Received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for Product Excellence.
October 1969Opened Tokyo Representative Office (current Tokyo Branch).
June 1970Completed construction of Fukuoka Plant in Yamato-cho, Yamato-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture.

September 1980Started manufacture and sales of “Shirasu Furikake”.
November 1985Completed third phase expansion of Fukuoka Plant.
November 1986Completed construction of Ohmori Jitsugyo Co., Ltd. Kyushu Plant (currently Our Hirokawa Plant) as a processing seaweed manufacturing plant exclusively for our company.
February 1989Established sales headquarters system in order to strengthen the sales system, divided into five regions across Japan, and introduced a block system.
July 1989Established Special Sales System in order to strengthen sales of commercial products.
October 1990Renamed head office sales department the Osaka branch.
June 1993Started manufacture and sales of new Ochazuke nori assortment series.
March 1994Started manufacture and sales of “Ryokuoyasai Furikake”.
June 1995Registered with the Japan Securities Dealers Association and issued over-the-counter shares.
April 1998Merged with Ohmori Jitsugyo Co., Ltd.
